Epsom Common, Christ Church

Christ Church, Epsom Common sent seven members to war, fortunately all of them (and the five from neighbouring St Martin’s, Epsom) survived, though not entirely unscathed. George Frank Oakshott is described in his Ringing World obit as walking with a limp and a cane – though his service record only mentions a shrapnel wound to the head.
